My foodie friend and I are off to The Fat Duck. It took over 200 phone calls when the booking opened. He had two phones on speed-dial. His mobile and his landline. Here’s a screenshot of the call log. According to a recent article the restaurant gets 30,000 phone calls a day requesting reservations. If each reservation request takes 200 calls on average that’s only 150 callers. So the 30,000 calls isn’t unrealistic.
