French Open 2015 : Roland Garros

My travel plans had me in the Northern Hemisphere in late May and I covered the French Open. The clay surface, the late afternoon light, and the suburban location are the three unique characteristics of this event. The photography points on the major courts are also special. Court level, high up, in the stands, and also low down allows the photographer so many vantage points that it’s a smorgasbord of options.
