The most uplifting sports event I’ve ever covered was the Homeless World Cup when it was held in Melbourne, 2008. You can read about the event here. The event was staffed by largely volunteers, including the photography team. I turned up to cover it as a freelance but after meeting the team led by Michael Brown and Derrick den Hollander of Photoworx, ended up shooting for the event.
