Ribs and ice cream
A quintessentially American dinner of take away ribs and chicken wings from Hickory House Ribs followed by ice cream of an unusual, but delicious, flavour.
Everyone wants to ski on fresh snow
With 8 inches of fresh snow everyone wanted to make fresh tracks. The Silver Queen gondola opens at 9am and the queue started around 8am. By 8.50am there was about 200 people in the queue, winding its way around the corner:
The snow finally came
There hasn’t been a snow fall for weeks and the locals were saying that it’s been the driest winter they can remember. So it was a relief when 8 inches dropped from the heavens on Saturday:
