One of my Nikon bodies had a auto focus problem at the World Superbike event. So I dropped it into Nikon’s Melbourne office and it’s now come back all fixed and polished. Just one of the fabulous service that Nikon provides its customers. NPS is the name of a free support program that you can enrol in if you meet the simple criteria. Thanks NPS!

A classic dish
This is the recipe for Crayfish Thermidor from a TV series called Surfing the Menu. It’s from Season 3 and is shot in Esperance. The episode features the Southern Rock Lobster which is why they cooked one the Thermidor way! I finally found it for download on iTunes. If you’re a lover of crayfish/lobster, it’s a great recipe. Here’s a potted history of the dish which apparently dates from 1894. Oh, it tasted great with the two crays I bought from the San Remo Fisherman’s Coop on the way home from the Superbike races.

Superbike – Race day
Race day dawned rainy, but luckily it cleared up for a dry race. The front runners dominated so there was little close racing. Some images here.

Superbike Qualifying
A sunny Saturday afternoon for Superbike qualifying. Images here.

Superbike – World Championships
Went to Phillip Island for an official testing session ahead of round 1 of the FIM Superbike Championships. Photos here.
