As I’m hoping to shoot some World Cup (winter sports) events in Europe, Olympics and other international events in the next few years I wanted to be affiliated with AIPS. That’s not an easy task for Australians as there is no local sports press association like other countries. My application had to be approved in China at the AIPS Executive meeting in Guangzhou, China last month. All good!

Typical mid-afternoon light at AAMI stadium. Not ideal shooting conditions. There’s about a 15 degree slot where the player is well illuminated and the grandstand is in shade for a clean background. Here are the shots.
