Hel & Verdoemenis
The maddest beer I’ve ever tasted. The De Molen brewery’s Hel & Verdoemenis (Hell & Damnation) beer is a stout that’s got a taste all to itself. Not my cup of tea. I like their other stout Tsarina Esra better.
A-League Round 13
This round was held on Saturday night at Etihad Stadium under an open roof and with the sun still shining (a little bit). So changing light conditions meant starting out at around ISO 1600 and finishing the night at ISO 2500. Almost 1 f-stop difference. Doesn’t sound much but its enough to make sure you’ve got it right. Boyd Baker House
I shot the Boyd Baker House yesterday for a future magazine story. This is a significant piece of Australia’s architecture history. It’s a beautiful house but very difficult to shoot on a bright sunny day. Some of the shots are HDR and some are balanced with fill flash inside the house. I only had a couple of hours – to do justice I reckon you could take a whole weekend to shoot this place.
